1951-54 Studied at Sunderland College of Art
1954-57 Studied at the Royal College of Art, London
1958 Awarded Sir James Knott Travelling Scholarship enabling travel in France, Italy & Greece
1961 Appointed Lecturer in Sculpture at Newcastle-upon-Tyne College of Art
1970 Appointed as Head of Sculpture at Newcastle-upon-Tyne Polytechnic
1972 Appointed Principal Lecturer at Newcastle-upon-Tyne Polytechnic
1972-77 Member of the Art and Architects Department of the Bishops Conference of England & Wales
1979-95 Trustee of Durham City Trust
1986 Awarded Honorary Membership of Northumbria Branch of RIBA
1987 Visiting Lecturer at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee, Scotland
